YOUR SUITE
Each suite is equipped with a personalised pin-operated safe for the safe keeping of your valuables, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the lodge, and bottled water in the mini-fridge. Should you require additional bottled water, please contact the bar or reception.
In line with our commitment to being as eco-friendly as possible, we kindly ask for your support in conserving water and electricity during your stay. While the lodge is in a malaria-free area, there may still be mosquitoes and other insects. Insecticide is provided in your suite for your convenience. Please keep your windows and doors closed at night to avoid visits from monkeys or squirrels, and kindly refrain from feeding any animals within the Black Rhino Game Reserve.

• From Room 2 to Reception = 340m (Luxury suites are furthest from the main lodge)
• From Room 20 to Reception = 180m
• From Room 23 to Reception = 150m (closest)
For your comfort and safety during your stay at Black Rhino Game Lodge, please let us know if you have any health, mobility, or accessibility concerns. The terrain around the lodge includes natural pathways and some walking distances, and game drives require guests to climb in and out of safari vehicles. By sharing this information in advance, we can better prepare to accommodate your needs and ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable safari experience.
CHILDREN POLICY
0 - 3 Years Not Permitted
4 - 5 Years On Request: Only 50% of the adult rate when sharing with 2 full-paying adults. Not permitted on Game drives. Bumble Drives are available, subject to availability
6 - 11 years On Request: Only 50% of the adult rate when sharing with 2 full-paying adults. Permitted on Game Drives at Management's discretion, Bumble Drives are available, subject to availability
12 - 16 years & Older 100% of adult rate Permitted on Game Drives
All children under the age of 12 need to be supervised by an adult at all times, especially when using the pool facilities.
Parents/Guardians must sign an indemnity form prior to the child participating in the game drive.
Unfortunately, no childminding services are available due to legislative and company policies.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Check-in time is strictly from 14:00, and check-out is by 10:30 on the day of departure. If you are departing before 07:00, please notify the Duty Manager or Receptionist in advance. Your account can then be settled after dinner on the evening prior to your departure.
GAME DRIVE TIMES
Game Drives depart as per the schedule below, please meet with your guide half an hour before in the Restaurant to ensure you are on time for your Game Drive.
- Summer Times: 01 October – 31 March
- Morning Game Drive meet at 05:00 am for a 05:30 am Departure – Return +/- 08:30
- Afternoon Game Drive meet at 16:00 for 16:30 Departure – Return +/- 19:00
- Winter Times: 01 April – 31st September
- Morning Game Drive meet at 05:30 am for a 06:00 am Departure – Return +/- 09:00
- Afternoon Game Drive meet at 15:30 for 16:00 Departure – Return +/- 18:30
DINING TIMES
We offer the following dining schedule for your enjoyment:
Brunch: 09:00 – 11:30
Afternoon High Tea: 14:00 – 16:00
Dinner: Served from 19:00 for 19:30 – 21:00
Should you not be joining the morning game drive and plan to depart before 09:00, you are welcome to request a breakfast pack the evening before. If you have any special dietary requirements, please inform us in advance so we can cater accordingly.
DIETARY NOTICE
Black Rhino Game Lodge regrets that we are unable to accommodate Kosher and Halal dietary requirements due
to our kitchen facilities and staff not being certified or trained to handle these specific dietary needs.
POOL TOWELS
Pool towels are available at reception and need to be returned upon departure.
GRATUITIES
If you wish to leave a gratuity for our friendly guides or staff, envelopes are available at reception, or you may request assistance from the front of house supervisor.
ASSISTANCE
Should you have any questions or require further assistance during your stay, please do not hesitate to speak with our Duty Managers or any of our friendly team members. We are here to ensure you have a wonderful and relaxing time with us.
WE RECOMMEND PACKING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS FOR YOUR HOLIDAY:
Cameras, binoculars, and a flashlight/torch.
Comfortable shoes/sandals to wear at the lodge and pool area.
Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and personal toiletries.
Medications
Deposit Policy
- For all bookings made within 30 days of travel
- Full payment Is required within 48 hours of your booking.
- For all bookings made more than 30 days of travel
- A 50% deposit Is required within 48 hours of your booking and the balance 30 days prior to arrival.
- Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card (Master/Visa) or bitcoin.
Cancellation Policy
- All cancellations must be sent in writing to reservations. Penalties are calculated on the total cost of stay.
- All no shows will be charged at 100% of the total value of the booking.
- Days prior to arrival: 60 - 31 Days - 50%
- 30 Days or Less - 100%
PLEASE NOTE:
As part of the upgraded security measures at Black Rhino Main Gate, we will be issuing guests with a QR Code that will allow them to enter the Black Rhino Game Reserve. Without this code, guests will not be able to enter. We kindly ask that you provide us with a cell phone number or email address of the driver / lead booker so that they can be sent a QR Entry Code on arrival.
