At the foot of the Garamoga Hills lies the Bakgatla Resort, which consists of unique Colonial Style Chalets.
Each Chalet consists of a lounge, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and an ever-popular up-stairs loft bedroom.

Bakgatla offers relaxation and much more for the outdoor enthusiast, such as self, or conducted game drives, bird watching and exciting excursions in and around the Pilanesberg National Park.

By road the Golden Leopard Resort is situated 60 kms from Rustenburg on the Thabazimbi road R510 - or follow the signs to Sun City.

Bakgatla Chalets

Chalets have air conditioning a private patio and braai area.

One double bed in main bedroom and three single beds in the loft, kitchen and bathroom en-suite.

Chalets sleep a maximum of 5 people.

Centrally located with the resort is a pool and playground.

Rates quoted are per person per night on a B&B or D/B&B basis inclusive of VAT and Tourism Levies.

Group bookings and rates are available on request.

Bakgatla Caravan Park

All sites are grassed and electrified (utility outlets 15amp) and can accommodate a maximum of 6 people and 2 motor vehicles per site.

Sites have centrally situated ablution facilities

Hiking Trails
Departing early morning driving deep into the park with an experienced guide. Minimum 4 people. No Children under 12 years of age.

Game Drives & Bush Braai
Gametrackers vehicles depart late afternoon and takes you on an African adventure through 55000 hectares of the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve, home of the big five. On your journey you will encounter Lions, Leopards, Elephant, Buffalo as well as many other animals. Your host will be one of our experienced game rangers who will welcome any questions you might have regarding the wildlife, birds and plants.
You are then transported to our boma where all guests will be welcomed with a glass of sherry. You will dine under the African sky, surrounded by the sound of the bush.

A tribal dance group can be arranged (Rate on request), which will enhance the African atmosphere at the boma. (min 20 people - max 150 people)
